Bonnie spoke about things you can do to promote yourself on the web.
1. Identify where you are in your business.
2. Track your numbers ie: hits, downloads, Alexa ranking.
3. How much time can you spend on your business.
4. Be the Web, Do the Web, Leverage the Web.

Bonnie explained you do not have to do a lot of extra work to create articles, simply re-purpose some work you have already created. For instance, take an audio interview you did and have it transcribed to a word document.
Bonnie also spoke about the importance of blogging on a regular basis.
The link for the Total Recorder software program that she mentioned is HighCriteria.com
There a couple of good FREE recording conference lines out there; both will let you record conference calls for your podcasts or articles and they archive the recordings; check out TheBasementVentures.com and NoCostConference.com

This is a continuation of the last call about keywords. Bonnie has posted all the URL links used during the class on www.thewebwoman.com; look to the right side of the page for “Cookie Cutter Group Links”.
You really don’t want to miss the next call; “How to Create Articles in Minutes Instead of Hours”.

Bonnie talks about the importance of keywords and where you should place keywords on your website. She also talks about the importance of Lens, articles, forums, and press releases and how they effect the search engines. If you want a good source to learn about press releases please visit PRWeb. Tip: Put your keyword list next to your computer monitor, it’s a great resource when “writers block” strikes.

Bonnie started the call talking about the loop virus she acquired on her computer and the problems that always occur when the “crash” occurs. She also talked about an online back-up program Griff Griffith told her about located at Carbonite.com
This program works in the back ground on your computer and backs it up while you are online.
The class today is about one of the tools Bonnie has been working with to check search engine optimization results, the website is SEODigger. Bonnie lead the class through the website, how to use it, and what the results mean.

Bonnie told of a resent airline trip she went on and the various problems that she encountered. Some of the problems were handled badly and sometimes the problems were handled to Bonnie’s satisfaction. Some of the problems that happened were not ordinary problems and the airline did not have policy in place to handle them. In order to avoid customer service issues you need to ask: Does your company have a contingency plan in place when things go wrong?

Bonnie goes through many of her favorite features of Word Press. There are many widgets, plug-ins and templates to chose from and Bonnie outlines some of their uses. She is also impressed that Word Press can be hosted on your own server and WP is always doing site and security updates.

First Bonnie acknowledged Bernadette Dimitov for the newspaper article written about her podcast show “Conversations with Mrs. Claus” that appears on the Family Yak .
Bonnie has published the URL links for the class on TheWebWoman, she says this will be a regular practice; look on the left side for “Cookie Cutter Class Links”.
Listen in as bonnie goes through the where-tos and why-fors of creating a “Lens”
As is my practice, when only one person shows up at either the Thursday night podcaster call or the Saturday night Cookie Cutter Group call, when only one person shows up for a class, I do a one-on-one consultation. Our prize winner for this last class was Diane Eble and interestingly enough, she helped me come to some realizations about what we need to cover in our Monetizing Your Podcast series that we are doing on the Podcasting calls.
See you next Thursday. Yak long and prosper, Bonnie D.
